Why use this tool

Runs entirely in the front end. No sign-up, and your photos are never collected.

🔒

Your data never leaves your computer

Every compression and conversion runs in your browser using the Canvas API. Your photos are never uploaded to any server, so internal images and client material stay private.

🗂️

Many photos at once

Drop a whole folder of photos in. Each one shows its before and after size with the saving percentage, and you can download them one by one or all together.

🔄

Convert between three formats

JPG, PNG and WebP convert freely. When a PNG becomes a JPEG, transparency is filled white automatically so it does not turn black.

✨

Resize without losing detail

Set a maximum edge length and bring 4K photos down to shop-ready sizes. High quality resampling keeps lines crisp.

Frequently asked questions

Will my photos look blurry after compression?

At quality 80 the difference is almost invisible to the eye, yet files are typically less than half the size. If a photo contains a lot of text, fine detail or is destined for print, raise the quality above 90. Lower quality means smaller files but also more visible blocking.

Which formats are supported?

Input covers JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and most image formats your browser can display. Output can be JPEG, PNG or WebP. Note that an animated GIF keeps only its first frame after processing; still images are unaffected.

How many photos can I process at once?

There is no hard limit, but selecting a very large batch (say more than 100) will use more memory. Around 20 to 50 per batch is a comfortable range.

Do you record the photos I upload?

No. The entire compression runs inside your browser and our server only delivers the static page. You can confirm this by opening your browser developer tools and checking the Network panel: no request is made during processing.

Why does my transparent PNG turn white after converting to JPEG?

The JPEG format itself does not support transparency. Transparent areas must be filled with a colour, and this tool fills them white by default. Choose PNG or WebP output if you need to keep transparency.

Can a compressed photo be restored?

No. JPEG and WebP are lossy, so the discarded detail is gone. Keep the original file and use the compressed version only for uploading or sending.

Need to process photos at volume?

Shop listings, event photos, client deliverables. We can build an automated pipeline that compresses, renames, watermarks and files everything in one pass.
